Anne has been singing ever since she can remember, and began playing guitar at age 10 when she was gifted her sister’s guitar and began teaching herself.
She joined local contemporary folk band, Badgers Sett, in 1987, gaining valuable performance experience with a wide variety of music including folk, blues, country and western and self-penned songs. Gigs varied from folk clubs, beer festivals, corporate parties to organising folk concerts, with a personal favourite supporting acoustic Fairport Convention in her then home town of Chesham, Bucks.
Moving to Wiltshire in 2017, Anne sang regularly at local venues and continues to collaborate with ex-Badgers Sett band mate, Alan Garmonsway, recording a number of his songs, and taking part in live performances. Since moving to the Stroud area in 2020, Anne has collaborated with a number of fine local musicians and was part of the all female band Charlie’s Angels with its creator Janice Anderson, together with Christina Snell and Jane Whaley.
While the band is no more, Anne continues to collaborate with Christina and Jane and they will be joining her at this performance bringing their talents on fiddle, whistle and clarinet.
