Tetbury U3A Ukulele Group, known as THE T’UKES, led by Mike Hoskin, are made up of 23 members in total.
Their instruments are ukuleles of various sizes (soprano, concert, tenor, baritone and bass), playing and singing popular songs from the 1940s through to the 1970s. Included in their repertoire are songs from the genres of folk, country, rock and roll, doo wap, rhythm and blues, calypso and easy listening.
They have been performing singalong concerts locally for two years, at a variety of venues in Tetbury, Cirencester, Minchinhampton, Malmesbury and Sherston.
The audience will be provided with folders containing song sheets, in order that they can confidently join in singing songs that will definitely bring back fond memories of their teenage and other past years. On occasions (and for certain songs only) they also encourage members of our audiences to accompany them on small hand held percussion instruments, which they provide.
Do come and join us – you can enjoy some super music, meet your friends as well as maybe making new ones. Advance tickets are just £3.50 (plus booking fee) Please note that on the door they cost £4,
