Caroline Simpson (cello) and Claire Smith (piano) make a highly-anticipated return to The Goods Shed to perform a selection of music by Bach, John Williams, Dvorak, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich and others.

After briefly studying clarinet (thinking she was about to be taught to play castanets!), Caroline discovered her love for the cello. She studied for a music degree, and also trained to be a music therapist. She now has a busy cello teaching practice in Stroud and loves to play the rich repertoire of chamber music for cello. Caroline is thrilled to have formed an ongoing musical partnership with Claire, with whom she first performed while attending a chamber music course several years ago.

South African-born pianist and dancer Claire Smith performs regularly in self-created innovative and collaborative dance projects, as well as teaching music in schools and to private pupils. She is increasingly actively involved in chamber music, having acquired a particular fondness for the cello and piano repertoire, which she is enjoying progressing in her creative alliance with Caroline.
