Join us for this very special piano concert to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK, the charity dedicated to improving life for everyone with Parkinson’s.

A multi-prizewinning pianist, Giovanni Lonati was born in Milan, Italy, in 1987. He attended the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan and Conservatorio S. Cecilia in Rome, graduating cum laude and “honourable mention”, obtaining also the “Premio Adriana Giannuzzi” prize scholarship as the best graduate of the year in 2014.

Since 2008 he has held many recitals for concert seasons and festivals throughout Italy, such as “Young Artists Piano Solo Series” and “Pausa Museo” for Roma Tre Orchestra (Rome), “Noi Con Brahms” for “Associazione Kreisleriana” (Milan) and the City Concerts of “Piano City Milano”.

In July 2019, he made his UK debut in Bath, holding a recital of Chopin and Beethoven that received very positive feedback and reviews, and in 2023 he played for Tincleton Gallery Concerts in Dorset.

With an English mother, Giovanni learnt to speak in both English and Italian from a very early age, and they used to visit the UK when he was young in order to see grandparents, friends and relatives.

“We also went on walking holidays in the UK,” he says. “These provided experience of life in Britain and I am delighted to be able to visit different areas of interest and natural beauty such as Tetbury.

“I am particularly interested in the work of Parkinson’s UK as my aunt is affected by this condition and am pleased to be able to offer this charitable recital.”
