Discover mysterious, funny and romantic Cotswolds tales – delving into the traditions of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and much more.

This talk by folklorist and storyteller Kirsty Hartsiotis explores the tales told by the folk in the region – taking in evil queens, queens who are not who you think they are, greedy kings, flying monks, little folk, big cats and many more tales. Discover what makes the Cotswolds tick!

Tonight’s speaker

Kirsty Hartsiotis is a professional storyteller and speaker. She’s the author, with Anthony Nanson, of Gloucestershire Ghost Tales and Gloucestershire Folk Tales for Children, as well as Wiltshire Folk Tales and two books of tales from her native county of Suffolk.

As well as her books and storytelling, she’s regular columnist for Cotswold Life, exploring the region’s folklore and tales on foot in Cotswold Ways. She’s an Accredited Arts Society lecturer and is also a museum curator, currently working in Swindon.

Tickets on On the door on the night they will cost £9.50 or £7.50 for under-16s, students and unwaged.
