FAQ

Do I need to be based in Gloucestershire to enter?
We are primarily seeking applicants from Gloucestershire and Wiltshire as this reflects Tetbury’s location in the south of Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire Photography Network aims to establish a meaningful network of photographers for in-person meet ups, peer support and group shows. If you feel that you would be able to meaningfully engage with such a group, then you are welcome to enter works in this open call.

Is there an age limit for applicants?
Photographers must be over 18 to submit works. We are exploring the possibility of working with local schools and organisations to create a young people’s strand of the exhibition.

Do I need to be a professional photographer to enter?
No, we welcome applications from professional photographers and serious amateurs!

Is there a cost for entering or exhibiting?
There is no cost for submitting works. If selected, you may have to cover the cost of printing and framing the works to be displayed (you should consider this when describing the ideal print dimensions of your work). We are currently exploring costs and sponsorship possibilities and will know nearer the submission deadline if there will be costs associated with exhibiting and what they will be. Entering this open call does not bind you to covering any costs once selected. However, if selected, you will enter into an Exhibitors Agreement that will clearly set out any costs.

If selected, will I be able to sell prints or editions of exhibited works?
Yes. A modest commission will be charged on all sales but we are keen that exhibition provides a good opportunity for photographers wishing to sell work. Smaller items, like cards, may also be able to be sold but this depends on the demand for this from exhibitors and the capacity of the Goods Shed to manage it.
