Suthering – Julu Irving and Heg Brignall (suthering.com) – weave harmonies effortlessly through their original songs, paired with gentle guitar and emotive piano arrangements, transporting audiences into a world of timeless storytelling.
Known for their chemistry and humour on stage, they effortlessly intertwine their important messages about the state of our climate, social conscience, and the importance of community and connecting with nature. They champion female characters, creating new narratives for women and unearthing the female heroines of the folk tradition.
Heavily influenced by world music, blues and rock, Barney Kenny (Facebook) blends storytelling and acoustic music with his foot-stomping somewhat delta style. He has racked up several thousand views on the Narrowboat Sessions platform and also over social media.

His writing crosses many boundaries throughout a live set, from Anglo-Celtic tunes to southern-blues rock to retellings of traditional songs from the transatlantic scene. His slide playing is ever-exciting to watch whilst his more driving style of guitar playing is the perfect accompaniment to his lyrical narratives.
