Why would anyone with a sensible day job decide to exchange a warm desk for a freezing day of muck shovelling? All for the love of flowers is why!
In this talk, Margie Hoffnung and Sarah Corston describe how they started Frog Lane Flower Farm (froglaneflowerfarm.co.uk).
They take us through the all the “behind the scenes” bits — the successes, setbacks, steep learning curve and other joys of what it takes to bring you fabulous, chemical free, sustainable, seasonal flowers.

Frog Lane Flower Farm is in North Nibley, in the South Cotswolds near Wotton-under-Edge. Margie and Sarah grow and propagate seasonal, sustainable cut flowers and foliage without chemicals, using only materials that can be recycled or reused. As eco-florists they never use floral foam or single-use plastic.
They take enormous care and pride in providing beautifully-grown, chemical-free flowers and foliage for local florists, wholesalers and private clients’ weddings, funerals, private parties and events.
Margie Hoffnung qualified with a degree in horticulture at Writtle College after working for Westonbirt Arboretum. She worked for many years with Rosemary Verey at Barnsley House and at Highgrove as a gardener and guide as well as at the Arboretum.
After gaining a masters degree at Bath, she worked as a conservation officer at The Gardens Trust and is a regular speaker on gardening and garden heritage matters.
