A mighty contest between some of Gloucestershire’s best young garage bands and open-mic troubadours. Making up the bill, we have:

Loophole

Having started making music together four years ago, Loophole have graduated from playing covers to focusing on writing and performing their own material, including the songs, Psychedelic and Guessing Game. Led by singer Romey Smogur, the band features Harry Duffy and Will fletcher on guitars, drummer Louis Flanders, and Bron Mann completing the rhythm section on bass.

Freya Dalgarno

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist,Freya Dalgarno delivers an evocative mix of raw, melancholic indie with melodies that belie a pop-sensibility and an ear for a good tune. Freya released her debut album, Out of my Depth, in February 2025 is currently studying Popular Music at the University of Gloucestershire. For the Battle of the Bands, Freya is supported by Patrick McGonnell-Burrows on drums and Dan Rayner on bass.

Max Green

Guitarist and singer Max Green has only been writing his own music for thee years but during that time he has pulled together a staggering four albums worth of material which he is planning to release this year. Drawing on early rock n’ roll and performed with all the necessary swagger, Max is joined by bassist Ewan and drummer, Henry, the three of them friends at Katherine Lady Berkeley’s school.

The Deep End

An alternative rock band whose members hail from Stroud and Tetbury, The Deep End formed at Sir William Romneys School where Oren Gibson (singer and rhythm guitar), Byron Clift (lead guitar), Joseph West (drums) and Jason Buckley (bass) came together through a shared love of bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and Arctic Monkeys, and a desire to create their own music.

Get It Together Studio
Get It Together Recording Studio is located in a beautiful vaulted cellar under an old convent in Stroud, and offers recording, rehearsing and training. They have two live rooms that double as rehearsal rooms, complete with drums, bass amp and EV S200 PA.
