Our fifth concert for 2026 brings together two of the most virtuosic masterworks in the piano literature.
Opening with Chopin’s scintillating first collection of twelve etudes, Hong Kong pianist Alex Wun’s lunchtime concert culminates in Liszt’s monumental Sonata in B minor: a testament to faith, light and darkness.
Alex Wun has performed across major venues in Europe – including the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Palais Wittgenstein in Dusseldorf – as well as at the Tianjin Juilliard Piano Festival in China.
Currently completing his Master’s studies with Ian Fountain at the Royal Academy of Music, In 2023 Alex won the Grand prize of the Hong Kong Next Artist International Competition and First Prize of the 5th International Liszt Ferenc Competition.
