Although Duo Tânwen was created in 2020, flautist Ruby Howells and harpist Bonnie Scott have known each other since childhood.

With a particular passion for performing works by female, underrepresented, and global majority composers, Duo Tânwen have performed in venues such as Regent Hall, Kenwood House, and Senate House, and are fast establishing themselves as an in-demand chamber duo.

They will be making their Wigmore Hall debut this year as part of the For Crying Out Loud! series. Tânwen is a Welsh female given name from tân (fire) and wen (white, fair or blessed).
