Come and have fun in the company of some of the finest, and funniest, stand-up comedians from the UK comedy circuit. This month featuring the talents of Roger Monkhouse, Kate Martin and headlined by Sarah Johnson.

(Suitable for aged 18 years and above and please note that line ups are subject to change)

Roger Monkhouse

Roger Monkhouse is one of the regular writers on Channel 4’s hugely popular comedy panel show ‘8 Out of 10 Cats.’ He is responsible for scripting up-to-the-minute topical gags every week for the show, which features Jimmy Carr alongside team captains Dave Spikey and Sean Lock. Other television credits include appearances on ‘The Comedy Store’ and ‘The World Stands Up’, (both Paramount), ‘My God I’m My Dad’ (Bravo) and ‘Street Cred Sudoku’ (UKG2). Nevertheless, he remains a clear favourite of comedy insiders and is probably comedy’s best kept secret.

A consummate stand-up who exerts a masterful control over any audience. A highly original and quirky performer, his trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit. Supremely confident, with audience banter down to an art form, he’s happy to improvise freely but has no shortage of first class material in his armoury. Roger is widely regarded as a master of observational comedy with routines that are universally and unfailingly hysterical.

Unfailingly entertaining – a gifted natural” Chortle

Kate Martin

Kate Martin is ‘brilliantly funny & energetic’ (Angela Barnes) and her ‘confident delivery and slick material’ (Chortle) have quickly established her as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. At 6ft 1 and with the longest wingspan in comedy (*probably), Kate’s a naturally engaging, energetic performer with effortlessly tight gags to match. Her unique background in mental health has given her a fresh take on the world, a completely distinctive voice, and fuels her high energy storytelling, whip-smart punchlines and razor-sharp observations of life’s quirks through queer eyes.

Kate was a finalist of the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022, runner-up in the finals of the WDCF New Comedian of the Year competition 2021, and in 2021 won the Comedy Store’s King Gong, Up the Creeks Blackout, and the Frog and Bucket’s Beat the Frog.

Undeniably gifted. Explosive new talent, definitely an act that you will be bragging about seeing early in her career.’ ND

Sarah Johnson

Sarah Johnson

A fun, lively and stand-out act who always is a great addition to any line-up. In 2017 she was voted ‘Best Midlands Comedy Breakthrough Act’ as well as receiving a nomination for ‘Best New Show’ at Leicester Comedy Festival. Sarah continues to leave audiences in stitches up and down the country.

A proud and fierce mother and wife, Sarah harnesses the energy of the stresses of being organised and multitasking whilst funnelling it through the reality that our bodies and modern life are gross and therefore should be laughed at through a microphone to strangers.
