This year’s Festival gets off to a pulsating start with its Goods Shed concert .
Argentina’s master 20th-century composer, Astor Piazzolla, created his own infectious blend of traditional dance forms with jazz and classical music. This enthusiastic celebration of his work by guitarist Craig Ogden and the London Tango Quintet juxtaposes some of Piazzolla’s most evocative pieces with music by his compatriots, contemporaries and inspirations.
As is customary at the Festival’s Goods Shed concert, it showcases the versatility of so many of our finest musicians. The London Tango Quintet is a group of five internationally acclaimed artists, which includes guitarist Craig Ogden who made his Tetbury debut in 2024. Alongside their classical careers they share a passion for tango music.
